Benefits

The Cockatoo Island Supply Base will provide benefits to a range of stakeholder groups; traditional owners, facility users, local business, communities, and governments at all levels.

Local communities will also stand to benefit from KTS’ commitment to maximising value to the Kimberley through a focus on jobs, local services, and transfer of knowledge and experience.

KTS expects approximately 200 jobs to be created during construction of the first phase of the project and about 110 jobs during operations.

This development will create future projects and opportunities across the Kimberley. Growth will expand into mainland towns and communities with the introduction of university online learning, training in collaboration with KTS, local government and industries.
